: ENTERTAINMENT is NO longer a WRITE-OFF‼️ The 2017 TCJA eliminated the deduction for any expenses related to activities generally considered entertainment, amusement or recreation.
Taxpayers may continue to deduct 50 percent of the cost of business meals if the taxpayer (or an employee of the taxpayer) is present and the food or beverages are not considered lavish or extravagant. The meals may be provided to a current or potential business customer, client, consultant or similar business contact.
Food and beverages that are provided during entertainment events will not be considered entertainment if purchased separately from the event.
Prior to 2018, a business could deduct up to 50 percent of entertainment expenses directly related to the active conduct of a trade or business or, if incurred immediately before or after a bona fide business discussion, associated with the active conduct of a trade or business.

: Many people claim the child tax credit to help offset the cost of raising children. Tax reform legislation enacted last year made changes to that credit.
• ☑️Credit amount. The new law increases the child tax credit from $1,000 to $2,000. Eligibility for the credit has not changed. As in past years, the credit applies if all of these apply:
the child is younger than 17 at the end of the tax year, December 31, 2018
the taxpayer claims the child as a dependent
the child lives with the taxpayer for at least six months of the year •☑️Credit refunds. The credit is refundable, now up to $1,400. If a taxpayer doesn’t owe any tax before claiming the credit, they will receive up to $1,400 as part of their refund. •☑️Earned income threshold. The income threshold to claim the credit has been lowered to $2,500 per family. This means a family must earn a minimum of $2,500 to claim the credit. •☑️Phaseout. The income threshold at which the child tax credit begins to phase out is increased to $200,000, or $400,000 if married filing jointly. This means that more families with children younger than 17 qualify for the larger credit.

You can either win or lose this tax season. If you are employed and do not have a business for 2018 Tax Season your write-offs are slim to none. What does that mean for you? If you didn't pay Uncle Sam a sufficient amount of taxes based on your tax bracket throughout the year you will owe the IRS some money this tax season.
If you do end up owing the IRS some money... wouldn't it have made more sense to start your business with that money and benefiting off of the tax write-offs?
If you look to benefit from business write-off this coming tax start now. Understand you can't start a business in 2019 and write-off those expenses for the 2018 tax season. DM @wifemommyceo
Of course I struggle, I just don’t quit!
You know what is far more interesting than debating or defending yourself? Continuing to execute and allowing history and merit to be the judge.
Don’t allow others to project their insecurities on you. Everyone’s path isn’t going to be the same. Your reality and their reality could be completely different. So without valid points... keep pushing through! After so many NO’s there will be a YES!
