LIFE IS MORE THAN SELFIES! I know that it might not be popular to say or share but life truly is more than just selfies & RECORDED MOMENTS. In order to live to truly live we must commit to being “PRESENT” to be able to recall those moments in our own mind and our own heart. Consider this, what if our hearts and minds are our own personal “HARD DRIVES” and moments only go into the ‘cache’ portion of our minds UNTIL WE CONSCIOUSLY DECIDE to place those moments into the Long Term Memory. How much more amazing would we feel, would the people around us feel if we were able to truly “BE PRESENT” at those moments of meaning in our lives. So many of the Coaching Clients I work with say something similar, they all seem to wish secretly that they WERE MORE PRESENT during a moment in their lives. In their courses they SHARE this exact thing, BE PRESENT increase your PRESENCE and get more out of the moment. When I was in my 20’s living in NYC doing Session hair and working in my own Salon, teaching, traveling, experiencing I truly never thought about it ending, about that being the “LAST TIME” I would do that one particular thing. As a parent I never thought about it in that way, the last time my kids would be excited to climb into our bed and watch a movie or love being tickled. I never thought about the last time I would pick up my daughter or my son and carry her or him while they slept in my arms. Imagine, I handed you a map with YOUR DESTINY clearly circled. Yes imagine that this map was the EXACT LOCATION of what you have dreamed, worked for and wanted your entire life. How amazing would this map be? Your Destiny is on an island and the map shows EXACTLY where on the island it is. Maybe your destiny is in a building and the map tell you the EXACT FLOOR, or your the person whose destiny is on a mountain hidden in a cave ready to be gathered up and given to you like the Grail. AHHH many of us have this exact MAP, WE KNOW THE WHAT and in many cases WE KNOW THE WHERE. Yet we still struggle to get there and more often than not we never arrive at our own destiny. Yes I know it is crazy but many of us ALREADY HAVE THE MAP and still do not get to where we are going. The Challenge is not the map, the challenge is YOU CANNOT GET THERE when you do not know where you are. Your Frustrated … well of course you are … i was as well. I was really frustrated … I bought the map, I earned the map and all I did was dream of the ma that would lead me to my destiny. Maybe you have done this as well, been to the seminars, met with the gurus, read the books and watched the videos. BUT STILL NEVER got what you were looking for … GREAT news, and when I learned this ONE THING it made all the difference in my life. I actually got not only what I WAS LOOKING FOR but everything else I had always wanted. Once I knew where I was it was EASY TO GET where I wanted to go. They are the people that you are integrating with daily, the people who matter to our lives and your family but are not always directly and deeply connected to us. These are the people we lightly touch and we have the honor of serving. YES, in many cases we should thank daily the people we have the privilege to serve. These simple and small acts of Thankfulness are slightly different but make a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE to those who we are in our charge and for those whose charge we are in. The NY DAILY NEWS posted an article sharing that the average American says thank you just over 5 times per day but half of that time it is said without sincerity. IMAGINE what our country, town or family would be like if we said thank you 10 times per day with COMPLETE SINCERITY? How do you think this could “Change Your World” and the people around you. WHAT IS Gratitude? What does the word even mean, and as many of of us search for what we believe it means the next natural question is “How can it be applied?” For myself and many of my students that I coach in Building their online courses we ponder this question. You see in order to build a life you must find gratitude in the things that surround you. In order to find gratitude you must recognize these as “GIFTS”. So many of us believe that because we are working so hard and have “EARNED” so much we simply forget that important virtue that should live in us all, “GRATEFULNESS”. The ability to express our gratuitousness for that which we have been gifted within a moment. The ability to admit to the universe a gift has been given! AND THEN we must take a moment not just to recognize this incredible gift but to also say THANK YOU, THANK YOU For the time, the support, the resources, the love, the hope, the courage, the example. YES THANK YOU to the earth the moon the sky and your creator, THANK YOU to your family, your husband, your wife, your children, your mother, your brother and your sister. Nothing can ever happen good in your life until “WE” learn to “FORGIVE”. Perhaps we feel that forgiveness makes us WEAK, perhaps we feel that others “DO NOT DESERVE IT”. Maybe you are right, CONSIDER THIS THOUGH, What we chose not to forgive we CHOSE TO Continuously remember. We chose to keep that pain WITHIN US. Forgiving is the process of letting go as well as “OFFERING” a new path, a different path. Perhaps You think or “FEEL” it will be to hard to forgive those who have wronged you. Those who have taken something those who have stolen something those who have lied or cheated. Perhaps it would be “IMPOSSIBLE” to find the forgiveness within you. YOU ARE WRONG, you are stronger than that. Your pain is with you only because you are choosing to HOLD ONTO THE PAST. START by forgiving yourself for this indulgence, start by forging yourself for the indulgence of holding onto something that will only bring you more pain. For many of the people I coach this is truly the starting point. Is it possible we will all fail at times or make mistakes at time to time…. Some of these may be very hurtful to others. SOME may be ‘unforgivable’ BUT WE KNOW this is a lie, nothing is unforgivable. START WITH forgiving small things and help increase the love in your heart BY MAKING ROOM. Forgiveness will create the ROOM YOU NEED TO LOVE … AND the room you need to LIVE!
